DESCRIPTION:From the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights:\n\nT
 he Committee on the Rights of the Child is composed of 18 independent expe
 rts who are persons of high moral character and recognized competence in t
 he field of human rights.\n\nMembers are elected for a term of four years 
 by States parties in accordance with article 43 of the Convention on the R
 ights of the Child. Members serve in their personal capacity and may be re
 -elected if nominated.\n\n...\n\n\nState Parties will elect nine new membe
 rs of the Committee on the Rights of the Child which monitors implementati
 on of the Convention.\n\n	Current members\, including those who terms expi
