DESCRIPTION:The UNESCO Executive Board has begun is meeting and will soon e
 lect its candidate for to serve as Director General for the next four year
 s. The Executive Board will meet in private on the morning of Wednesday 2
  October to conduct interviews with the candidates. Three days have been 
 scheduled for the nomination process — 4\, 7 and 8 October. The recomme
 nded candidate will then be considered by the UNESCO General Conference\, 
 which runs from 5 - 20 November.
