DESCRIPTION:The Preparatory Committee for the Third International Conferenc
 e on Small Island Developing States will hold its first session from Monda
 y\, 24 to Wednesday\, 26 February 2014\, at United Nations Headquarters in
  New York\, to\, among other items\, elect the Bureau\, pursuant to resol
 ution 68/238 of 27 December 2013 (currently available in document A/68/43
 8/Add.2).\nRegional groups are invited to nominate two States each for the
  Bureau\, pursuant to the said resolution. Nominations should be submitted
 \, in writing\, by each regional group to the secretariat (muturi@un.org) 
 by Friday\, 10 January 2014. A letter from the Secretary of the Preparator
 y Committee\, dated on 27 December 2013\, was sent to the Chairs of the Re
 gional Groups.
