DESCRIPTION:The General Assembly will meet on Friday\, 14 June 2013 to for
 mally elect the President of the General Assembly for its sixty-eighth se
 ssion. The position rotates regionally each year. The 68th session will be
  presided over by the nominee of the Latin American &amp\; Caribbean regio
 nal group. The group reached consensus in December 2011 and will nominate
  Antigua and Barbuda's UN Ambassador John William Ashe. No other candida
 tes are expected to be nominated. \nThe Main Committees will meet afterwa
 rds for the purpose of electing their respective chairs and bureaux for th
 e sixty-eighth session. After these are chosen\, the General Assembly wil
 l hold another plenary meeting to elect the Vice-Presidents for the sixty-
 eighth session.
