DESCRIPTION:Seven members of the Committee on Conferences concluded their t
 erms on 31 December 2014. On 5 December\, the President of the General Ass
 embly appointed representatives from the Central African Republic\, Namib
 ia\, Paraguay and Russia as members of the committee for 3-years terms\, b
 eginning on 1 January 2015. Three seats remain vacant -- two from the Asia
 -Pacific States and one from the Western European and other States. The Ge
 neral Assembly will hear from the President on 2 Februrary regarding these
  remaining vacancies.
