The General Assembly will hold a plenary meeting on Monday, 15 June 2015, at 4:00pm, in the General Assembly Hall, to elect the President of the General Assembly at its seventieth session.
The post is rotating to the Western European and Others Group of states. The group has nominated Mogens Lykketoft of Denmark, who will assume the post in September.
Immediately following the plenary meeting, the Main Committees will hold their consecutive meetings for the purpose of electing their Chairs at the seventieth session and their respective Bureaux. Immediately following the meetings of the Main Committees, the General Assembly will hold another plenary meeting to elect the Vice-Presidents at its seventieth session.
